The Sygun Copper Mine is a fantastic family attraction in a spectacular location.
The Sygun Copper Mine is one of North Wales best visitor attractions. The mine is located just to the south of the village of Beddgelert in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.
The mine is suitable for all the family and our self-guided audio visual tours allow you to explore the old workings on foot in complete safety.
There are winding tunnels and large colourful chambers and caverns with magnificent stalactite and stalagmite formations.
View the huge caverns and ancient copper ore veins which also contain traces of gold, silver and other precious metals.
The audio-visual tour, which is in English, clearly explains each stage of the mining process and is complemented by interpretive displays with additional languages including Welsh, French, German, Dutch and Spanish.
The caverns are well lit and sound effects are used to contribute to provide a realistic glimpse into the past.
