Greenwood Forest Park is a family fun park with 'green' credentials. The park is located just a few minutes drive from the North Wales town of Caernarfon in the north of the Snowdonia National Park and is close to Mount Snowdon to the south.

The park is aimed at younger children and they can enjoy a wide variety of rides and attractions such as the 'Green Dragon' rollercoaster, Jungle Boat Adventure, Moon Karts, and Adventure Playground.

The theme of Greenwood is definitely fun with the environment in mind, the Jungle Boat Adventure for example requires the riders to move under their own steam as they move themselves around by rope and paddles.

Likewise the journey to the Green Dragon rollercoaster takes you up a steep hill, whilst all along telling you how it uses your energy to power the ride, before boarding a lift that takes you back to the bottom as it creates the power for the ride.

None of this takes away from the fun however and on sunny days there is plenty to enjoy.

Other attractions at Greenwood include for those with a head for heights Tree Top Towers, Mini Tractors, and the Crocodile Maze.

The Giant Jumper is one of Greenwood's most popular rides and was introduced in 2007. The 1500 sq ft inflatible balloon is great exercise while the parents have a rest.

Greenwood isn't all about exercise as well as the rides visitors can enjoy theatre shows, refreshments from the cafes, and you can also try your hand at archery, it's not as easy as you'd think.

Adults: £6.85 (low season) to £9.80 (high season)
Children: £5.75 (low season) to £8.95 (high season)

The park is open daily from 11am to 5pm in the low season and 10am to 5.30pm in the high season.
