The Sygun Fawr Country House Hotel occupies a former Welsh Manor house that dates back to 1644 and is set in 20 acres of mountainside and gardens.

The hotel has wonderful views of the Gwynant Valley. The conservatory offers a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

The hotel has been tastefully decorated in keeping with the former manor house and exposed walls and oak beams abound.

The Sygun Fawr Country House Hotel is fully licensed and the cosy bar offers refreshment and a place to rest tired legs.

The hotel is ideally situated for walking and many guests choose to climb Snowdon from the paths close to the village. The popular Watkin Path is located close to the hotel.

For the less adventurous there are many local walks that can take you alongside the rivers, the Glaslyn and Colwyn.

Another local attraction is the grave of Gelert after whom, according to legend, the village is named.
